6 Controversies ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin Has Been Involved In
Min Hee Jin is the current CEO of ADOR and the creator of the super-popular group NewJeans. Though she has been praised for her creativity and more, Min Hee Jin has also been at the center of controversies since their debut.
Here are five controversies in which Min Hee Jin has been directly involved.
1. Ongoing HYBE Feud
Min Hee Jin’s alleged plans of usurping management rights to ADOR from HYBE were announced by the company, along with plans for an internal audit. Although she denied the claims, it was reported that she attempted to earn ownership by leaking personal information about HYBE idols and making their images look bad.
Amid this, Min Hee Jin has made many inflammatory statements, accusing HYBE of copying her concepts and calling the feud between ATTRAKT and FIFTY FIFTY “stupid.”
2. “Pedophilic” and “Problematic” Inspiration
While examining Min Hee Jin’s personal Instagram account, many netizens found alarming inspirations in the CEO’s posts. In addition to films featuring young girls and much older men, a vinyl narrating a pedophilic, illicit romance between a middle-aged man and a 15-year-old girl was also discovered in a photo.
3. Inappropriate Outfits
When NewJeans debuted with “Attention,” many anticipated what seemed to be an age-appropriate concept. However, some of the looks from the music video were thought to be outside of this idea, leading to criticism. Some also found the outfits the group wore outside of the music video at that time to be too mature for the young girls.
4. Staying In The Spotlight
Following an article by Mediaus‘s columnist Yoon Kwang Eun, who berated Min Hee Jin for staying in the spotlight and having too much influence NewJeans, netizens criticized the CEO. Many stated their preference that she let the members shine on her own.

5. Inappropriate Scenes In “Cool With You”
During scenes from “Cool With You,” NewJeans were spectators to an intimate scene between Jung Ho Yeon and Tony Leung, where it was implied the two had sex, followed by Jung taking off her clothes.
Many found this inappropriate, as several of the members of NewJeans are minors, despite whatever story was being told.
6. “ETA”
When NewJeans’ first comeback teaser was released, many couldn’t help but notice something about the short clip. “ETA”‘s name was shared with a terrorist group, and several names related to the organization were listed alongside NewJeans’.

ADOR later clarified though many were not convinced.
