Camerawork Improves Immensely For ATEEZ’s Performance At “Coachella” Weekend 2

The difference is astounding!

While ATEEZ put on a stellar performance for their first weekend at Coachella 2024, there was one aspect of the show that fans were disappointed with: The camerawork.

It’s not uncommon for K-Pop performances to be poorly filmed when they’re done in foreign countries such as the U.S., unfortunately, and ATEEZ’s debut on the Coachella stage was no exception. Fans were heavily critical of the camerawork from the first weekend performance, which missed out on some iconic moments from the group’s show, such as Hongjoong‘s rap during “Crazy Form” and times when the camera was too zoomed-in to catch key choreographic moments. Despite this, though, the K-Pop group still owned the stage!

Thankfully, it seems like the staff learned their lesson from the first weekend and made sure to make improvements for the second. It’s unclear if they changed cameramen completely or just trained the original to be better at the job, but the difference was like night and day!

For one, they completely captured Hongjoong’s charismatic part of “Crazy Form”, getting some captivating close-ups as well as shots further away to showcase the ATEEZ captain’s dancing.

There were some fun and playful camera moments during the performance too, such as the focus dropping to capture Wooyoung‘s twerk during “Crazy Form”!

Overall, the camerawork was just much more enjoyable, and some fans have joked that they must have hired an ATINY for weekend two!

While fans were understandably critical of the filming for weekend one, they’re also quick to give credit where it’s due!

Congratulations to ATEEZ for such a phenomenal debut on the Coachella stage!
