EXO’s Lay confirmed to debut as a soloist in China
The first soloist from EXO has been announced to be member Lay!
Just days before the confirmation by his agency SM Entertainment, Lay revealed to fans his plans to drop a solo album soon. According to reports, there are chances that it will be released this October though his official debut date is likely to change.
SM Entertainment said on September 21st, “Lay is now preparing to release a solo album in China,” but on a release date, they replied, “It hasn’t been decided yet.”
Lay is the first member from boy group EXO to go solo officially, and it is expected to help him further solidify his position as a top celebrity in China. While it is for sure he will be releasing a solo album in China, a Korean release is still pending.
Earlier this year, Lay participated in SM STATION, releasing the solo track “Monodrama.” He has proven to be multi-talented in various areas, showing off his variety television through an appearance on Infinite Challenge.
