Girls’ Generation officially announces Korean comeback album
SM Entertainment‘s powerhouse girl group Girls’ Generation will officially be making a comeback, making this the first Korean album to be release since the departure of Jessica Jung in September 2014.
Their album will be released in May following the release of their 9th Japanese single “Catch Me If You Can,” which will be released in April. This will be Girls’ Generation’s first Korean studio album since I Got a Boy two years ago in January 2013, as well as their first Korean album since becoming an eight member group.
In preparation for the start of their activities as an eight member group this April, the group will be holding a post-race celebratory performance for the Formula 1 Malaysia Grandprix, a prestigious international competition that has previously attracted performers such as 2NE1 and American pop band Backstreet Boys.
Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation is in Taiwan for the SMTOWN LIVE WORLD TOUR IV concert, which took place on March 21st.
