On April 24, KST, a musician named Yoo Ji Hoon posted a picture on his personal Instagram with Wonyoung in the backstage of the highly acclaimed musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch. This unexpected visit was actually the idol showing up for the actor Yoo Yeon Seok, who played Hedwig in the musical.

Yoo has gained quite the acclaim for his portrayal of Hedwig, a role he stepped in for the first time in 2017. He made his comeback in the same role this year after seven years.

Wonyoung showing up to support Yoo at this performance might seem random to some fans, given that the connection between the senior actor and the fourth-gen idol is not very well known. But the two are actually managed by the same agency. While Wonyoung is under Starship Entertainment, Yoo is signed under King Kong by Starship. Wonyoung’s sister and actress, Jang Da Ah, is also on the roster of King Kong.

As labelmates, Yoo and Wonyoung seem to share quite a friendly dynamic, glimpses of which were seen on the special episode of The Game Caterers X Starship. On the program, 31 artists from Starship Entertainment and King Kong by Starship spent time together on a one-night, two-day field trip filled with exciting games. Wonyoung and Yoo were teammates during the game and showed a wholesome equation.

This musical was also not the first time Wonyoung showed her heartwarming support for her senior. In 2023, she sent a congratulatory video for the actor’s 20-year-anniversary fanmeeting.

Despite her infamously busy schedule, Wonyoung showing up for Yoo’s big performance really speaks to how much she respects her senior.
