SM Announces Third Quarter Music Line-Up Preview

Schedules and times may change depending on the situation.

SM Entertainment announced its plans for the third quarter of 2024, garnering much fan attention. For the first quarter, sales increased by 7.9% compared to last year. They reached this due to the expansion of performance and merchandise sales.

Sales from albums released in the first quarter also exceeded last year’s sales in the same quarter. With NCT DREAM becoming a double million-seller, NCT WISH making their official debut, and large-scale concerts by NCT 127, SHINee, and more, concert sales increased by 21%.

It also looks like they will expand the global fandom through overseas activities. NCT DREAM is scheduled for a third world tour and aespa is set to embark on world tour in 14 countries starting at the end of June.

With just a bit left of the second quarter, EXO’s Suho will release its third mini album, and RIIZE with its first mini album. NCT’s Mark will also release a single, along with NCT DREAM and NCT WISH’s Japan singles.

The third quarter line-up includes NCT 127 and Girls’ Generation Taeyeon’s full-length albums, along with SHINee’s Key, EXO’s Chanyeol, Red Velvet’s Irene, NCT’s Jaehyun‘s solo mini albums.

Other artists are expected to drop global albums including WayV, Key, aespa, and RIIZE with Japanese singles and NCT DREAM with a U.S. single.

SM also plans to expand collaborations with Kakao including webtoons, web novels, mobile games, and more. CEO Jang Cheol Hyuk stated, “We will enhance our global competition through a diverse portfolio of secondary IP businesses.” CEO Tak Young Jun added, “We plan to strengthen our overseas lineup with artists like NCT DREAM, NCT WISH, aespa, RIIZE, and more, and expand the fandom worldwide.”
