UN’s Kim Jeong Hoon to make his Hollywood debut in “Pacific Rim 2”
Former UN member and actor Kim Jeong Hoon will be the next Korean actor to make his debut in Hollywood!
According to officials, he was recently cast in the upcoming sequel and Hollywood film Pacific Rim 2 set to be released in 2018. He will begin shooting for the film as early as next month.
Kim Jeong Hoon is mostly known to international fans through his role in the 2006 hit-drama Goong.
He is not the first Korean actor to make his first step into a Hollywood film. Others include Lee Byung Hun (G.I. Joe Retaliation & Rise of Cobra, Red 2, Terminator Genisys, Magnificent Seven), Park Jung Hoon (The Truth About Charlie), Rain (Speed Racer, Ninja Assassin), Bae Doona (Cloud Atlas), Choi Min Sik (Lucy), and among others.
Pacific Rim 2 will be produced by Guillermo del Toro and directed by Steven S. DeKnight, and will star John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny, Jing Tiang, Levi Meaden, and Adria Arjona.
