YG Entertainment invests large amount of money in a new building for its artists
Amidst the busy comeback schedule of BIGBANG, YG Entertainment has made an investment to help the company operate and grow.
For the past three months, YG Entertainment group BIGBANG has been dominating the charts. From May to July, the group has been releasing two tracks on the first of each month as part of their “MADE” series. For the first month, May, BIGBANG released “BAE BAE” and “Loser.” Then, on June 1st the group released music videos for “We Like 2 Party” and “BANG BANG BANG.” Just a few days ago, for their July 1st comeback, BIGBANG released two new tracks, “If You” and “Sober” while”If You” achieved an all-kill shortly after its release.
Meanwhile, it was recently reported that YG Entertainment has invested in a new property with a large value of approximately 16 billion won. An official from YG Entertainment stated, “We made this purchase in order to expand our company facilities to improve the efficiency of work. “
Currently, the company’s office is located in Seoul’s Mapogu Hapjung-dong. The office, which is famous for its “YG Cafeteria,” has a total of eight stories – seven above ground and one underground.
In addition to their latest investment in the new building, YG Entertainment also recently went into the restaurant business, taking on massive leaps in their company.
In terms of their contributions to television media, YG Entertainment recently signed comedian Yoo Byung Jae who was a contender for the “Sixth Man” position on MBC‘s hit show Infinite Challenge, as well as the winner of K-Pop Star 4 Katie Kim and comedian Ahn Young Mi.
