What makes this achievement even more impressive is that the song earned in after just three days on the radio. The song came out May 21; however, the chart follows a Monday-Sunday schedule, meaning that they only considered three of the five days it was out.
It also marks the group’s highest debut on this chart! They broke their previous record of Number 30 for “Dynamite” last year.
BTS has won four awards at the Billboard Music Awards this year, including Best Duo/Group, Best Social Artist, Best Song Sales Artist, and Top Selling Song. As for the rest of their Billboard chartings, they will be arriving next week as the rest of their charts follow a Friday-Thursday schedule. However, “Butter” is very likely to chart high on their sales and streaming charts.
