ENHYPEN’s Jake Has Recovered From COVID-19, Shares Update On Fellow Members
After being diagnosed with COVID-19 (novel coronavirus) last month, ENHYPEN‘s Jake announced he has recovered from the illness and shared an update on his fellow members’ health.
After a person at ENHYPEN’s filming sign was confirmed to have contracted COVID-19, the group went into self-quarantine on August 26. While their quarantine was initially a precaution, by August 29, Jake was showing signs of the illness, including coughing and a fever. After conducting a PCR test, he became the first ENHYPEN member to test positive for COVID-19 on August 30.
Following Jake’s test, four more members also tested positive for the illness: Jungwon, Heeseung, Jay, and Sunghoon. Later, on September 4, Ni-Ki was confirmed to have contracted COVID-19 too, leaving Sunoo as the only member who tested negative.
Thankfully, BE:LIFT Lab confirmed that all the members’ symptoms were minor and that they would be taking “the necessary precautionary measure in accordance to the health authorities’ guidelines.”
Now, ENGENEs will be happy to learn that Jake has recovered from COVID-19. On August 8, nine days after his positive test result, Jake announced on Weverse that he has “recovered safely” and has now been discharged from the treatment center where he was being monitored.
In Seoul, it’s currently standard procedure for those with COVID-19 to stay at a government treatment and quarantine facility until they no longer have the virus, even if they have mild symptoms.
Jake went on to share an update on his fellow members’ health for any worried fans. The ENHYPEN star assured ENGENEs that the other members are “also doing well” and expressed that they’re likely to be discharged soon too.
ENGENEs, I’ve recovered safely and was discharged from the hospital! 😄 The other members are also doing well and I think they will be discharged soon. 😊 ENHYPEN fighting! 👏 🥰

Meanwhile, Jungwon left a comment on Jake’s Weverse post adding, “Hwaiting 🔥.” Hopefully it won’t be long until the rest of ENHYPEN’s members have recovered well too.
