Actress Gemma Chan Stuns In Custom-Made Creations By Korean Designer At Marvel’s “Eternals” Premiere
Marvel Studios‘ next highly anticipated film is the Eternals. With a diverse cast and Oscar-winning East Asian woman director Chloé Zhao, it’s just about as historic as Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Both films are doing a lot in terms of representation, both onscreen and offscreen too.
British Asian actress and model Gemma Chan, known for her roles in Crazy Rich Asians and Captain Marvel, especially is a champion for representation. So it was no surprise that she represented another Asian woman artist on the recent red carpet event for her newest film.
In Rome, Italy, at the European premiere for Eternals on October 24, Gemma Chan was dressed in a design by emerging Korean designer Sohee Park. Chan stunned as she wore a sexy yet classy black velvet separates.
It was accented with dazzling Swarovski crystals, including jewelry and a custom headpiece. To complete the look, she wore bright red lipstick.

This sophisticated look comes from Sohee Park’s brand Miss Sohee, and it was all created by hand! Raised in Seoul and currently based in London, the designer explained to Vogue that she is especially eco-conscious in her creations. She attempts to resource through deadstock and recycled materials.
Being sustainable is a responsibility for emerging designers. It’s why I’m drawn to haute couture – there’s no mass production and only what is necessary is used.

Sohee Park is becoming a more and more recognizable name in the fashion industry day by day. Recently, BLACKPINK‘s Lisa performed in one of her designs.
Her creations have also been worn by pop diva Ariana Grande on The Voice.
Rapper Cardi B was covered head to toe in Miss Sohee for the cover of Billboard!
Gemma Chan often wears outfits designed by Asian designers with the goal of promoting their work. During promotions for Crazy Rich Asians, she dressed entirely in outfits by Asian designers.
It’s awesome to see celebrities use their platform for good and to uplift others!
