Here’s What BTS V’s Sister From “Stigma” Is Doing Now
Step into your time machine, ARMY. We’re traveling back to the WINGS era!
BTS‘s WINGS album was released on October 10, 2016, but its era began a month earlier with a series of solo short films: “Begin” (Jungkook), “Lie” (Jimin), “Stigma” (V), “First Love” (Suga), “Reflection” (RM), “Mama” (J-Hope), and “Awake” (Jin).
“Stigma” explores V’s tragic backstory. In the BTS Universe, V plays a troublemaker who gets arrested. While at the police station V’s character relives the pain he suffered at the hands of his alcoholic father.
In one flashback, V curls up with his sister to comfort her and protect her from harm.
His sister is played by actress Seo Eun Ah. Although she was only on-screen for a short time, Seo Eun Ah delivered a heartwrenching performance. V’s “sister” put herself between him and their father…
…and when their father pushed her to the ground…
…V decided enough was enough.
Seo Eun Ah also appeared as V’s sister in “I NEED U” MV, the music video that began BTS’s HYYH era in 2015.
To this day, the identity of V’s “sister,” has remained elusive. This is largely in part because Seo Eun Ah’s name does not appear in the casting credits for “Stigma” or “I NEED U” on YouTube. She is credited, however, on the website for Big Boss Entertainment, her agency.
Seo Eun Ah was born on February 26, 1989, making her 32 years old. At the time “Stigma” was released, she was 27, but she began her acting career long before that.
Seo Eun Ah began her acting career in 2005 by appearing in Dove commercials. She started acting in minor movie roles in 2008 and landed her first main role in 2013, beating out 200 other actresses to play a professor’s mistress in Act. She won the Grand Bell Award for “Best New Actress.”
In 2013, Seo Eun Ah also made her K-Drama debut as Eun Ah in Flower Boys Next Door. Most recently, she played Na Seong Gyeong in Soul Mechanic and Ah Sa Mot in Arthdal Chronicles.
As for music videos, she has only acted in one aside from “I NEED U” and “Stigma”: the 2013 music video for Jang Bum Joon‘s song “Difficult Woman.” If BTS continues their BU story in the future, however, it would be fantastic to see Seo Eun Ah revive her old role!
