Here Are 5 K-Pop Idols Who You May Not Have Known Previously Debuted In Different Groups
Debuting multiple times is becoming more common in K-Pop, especially because of programs like the Produce 101 series.
Many idols didn’t have much success with their original groups but found later success with their future groups. Here are 5 K-Pop idols who debuted more than once and have experienced being a part of more than 1 group.
1. Kwon Eunbi (IZ*ONE, Soloist)
Kwon Eunbi originally debuted in 2014, where she was a part of the girl group Ye-A.
Ye-A didn’t have much success with their debut and only released 1 single for their whole discography. Eunbi eventually left the group and eventually signed with Woollim Entertainment. Eunbi participated in Produce 48 and became a member of IZ*ONE, where she is enjoying massive success.
She has since debuted one more time, this time as a soloist.
2. HyunA
HyunA originally debuted as a member of Wonder Girls in 2007 with JYP Entertainment.
HyunA left the company and group in 2008 due to her parent’s worrying about her health. HyunA eventually signed with Cube Entertainment and debuted as a member of 4Minute in 2009. 4Minute officially disbanded in 2016.
3. Mino (WINNER)
Mino was originally an underground rapper and is how he met a lot of his close idol friends, such as Zico. Mino originally debuted as a member of the group BoM.
BoM eventually disbanded after a few years of promotions. Mino ultimately got accepted to YG Entertainment and participated in the survival show WIN: Who Is Next. Mino was a member of the winning team and became an official member of WINNER.
4. Somin (K.A.R.D)
Somin has had multiple debuts before K.A.R.D. She originally debuted in the girl group PURETTY, but the group disbanded 2 years after their debut.
In 2015, Somin debuted in the girl group April, but she eventually left a couple of months after the group’s debut. Somin left the group to find herself, such as experimenting with music to find the one that best fit herself.
Somin debted with K.A.R.D in 2016 and has been with the group ever since.
5. Solji (EXID)
Solji initially debuted in the vocal duo 2NB in 2006.
2NB eventually disbanded in 2012 and Solji was added to EXID soon after.
