Here’s The Surprising Reason Why BLACKPINK’s Rosé Started Skateboarding
BLINKs’ favorite skateboarder, BLACKPINK‘s Rosé, recently revealed why she started learning how to skateboard.
Back in January, Rosé shared photos of herself on a skateboard, as well as videos of her skateboarding skills.
Of course, BLINKs loved getting a glimpse of Skater Rosé!

In her March 2022 interview with Dazed Korea, Rosé opened up about why she decided to try skateboarding.
The interviewer said, “You look great. What are you interested in these days? We spotted a skateboard in one of your social media posts.”
Surprisingly, Rosé decided to learn how to skateboard immediately after imagining herself skateboarding!
When I’m not doing anything, I get ideas in my head out of the blue. It cracks me up to this day to think about the skateboard thing, too. I was in bed when I started imagining myself on a skateboard. I got right out of bed and decided I’m going to try learning. There’s a bit of luck involved, too. It would have been difficult to get up and have a go at it if I wasn’t lucky enough to have the resources right there. So anyway, learning to skateboard happened relatively easily for me. When I first fell off the board, it actually felt great. I guess I was waiting for something like that to happen. Like, ‘When am I going to fall?’ And when it happened, I was like, ‘All right, this is it!’

Although she impulsively decided to start learning how to skateboard, Rosé quickly learned how to ride her skateboard and proved that she’s a naturally gifted skateboarder!
