WJSN Burst Into Tears After Their “Queendom 2” Performance… But They Were So Professional Fans Didn’t Notice Anything Was Wrong
When WJSN (also known as Cosmic Girls) was announced as a competitor in Queendom 2, fans couldn’t have been more excited for the incredibly talented group to hopefully gain more global recognition.
The show itself heralded WJSN as the most talked-about group when it came to groups that netizens hoped would be in the show’s lineup.
The members themselves have talked about their aspiration of getting more attention and success through their hopeful success in the show.
i hope this year after queendom will finally fulfill wjsn’s wishes and give them the consistent popular and success.. they’ve worked too hard to be left in this grey area for far too long

And so far, the two stages that WJSN have performed have been incredible hits with Queendom 2‘s audience.
wjsn’s performances are so pretty i can’t believe they’re real pic.twitter.com/aUl6OcwqK9

Leaving fans in awe of their introductory performance of “SAVE ME, SAVE YOU.”
And their most recent breathtaking remixed stage of “As You Wish.”
But despite fans’ focus on the members’ powerful charisma, beautiful vocals, and captivating dance…
honestly, i was very excited for wjsn and they killed it. that was a spectacular performance. and indeed, it felt like their own concert.
you did amazing, wjsn! #queendom2 #퀸덤2 pic.twitter.com/D8WIIBIH2b

As soon as the performance ended, the members burst into tears about their stage.
As part of their concept for the spectacular stage, the members relied on the central motif of a sandglass. And while fans had thought that the sand falling out and onto the stage was meant to be symbolic…
the way I thought the sandglass disappearing was a conceptual thing to represent how their time will never run out for them and wjsn will be together forever but it was an ACCIDENT ???

The members’ tears were because the prop actually broke, making it difficult for them to perform how they wanted.
The sand falling onto the stage unexpectedly made the stage slippery and dangerous to perform on. And during the performance, you can see both the top and bottom of the sandglass falling apart…
… Leaving the members trying to not only dance on the sand but carefully maneuver around the broken prop.
And while the performance was still breathtaking, WJSN couldn’t help but be disappointed that they couldn’t put on the performance they had hoped for.
Eunseo felt particularly sorry for her members since she hadn’t been able to properly rehearse with her members due to previously testing positive for COVID-19.
I know how desperately we worked for this. I felt like I caused so much damage…
… Yes, it was the sandglass, but… My absence during practice…
-Eunseo
Seola also voiced her frustration for them not being able to perform the way they hoped, struggling with the regret she felt despite working hard.
I worked so hard for this…
… Why won’t luck follow us? Nothing’s working for us…
… We got on this show to pour our souls out. Why are these trials happening?
-Seola
And while leader EXY tried her best to reassure her members…
We did a good job. It’s okay.
-EXY
She too, burst into tears feeling sorry that their performance didn’t match their immense efforts.
[All the members] worked so hard for this stage. I know that. So I couldn’t help but cry.
-EXY
But not all the members were upset, with Soobin and Dayoung trying their best to cheer up EXY, telling her that they did well.
The stage was great.
-Soobin
We did well.
-Dayoung
And with Yeoreum immediately going to hug Eunseo when she started crying.
And fans were definitely proud of WJSN, who put on an incredible performance despite the unexpected trouble. And hopefully, the group will be proud of their upcoming performances. Especially since Bona should hopefully be joining Queendom 2 soon now that the K-Drama Twenty Five Twenty One has finished filming.
