BTS Suga’s Recommended K-Dramas, Animes, And Movies
Over the years, BTS has shared their favorite movies, K-Dramas, animes, and more with ARMY, along with what they’re currently watching. Here are some of Suga‘s picks!
1. Sky Castle
Suga and RM were both hooked on Sky Castle, a 2018-2019 K-Drama about ambitious, upper-class parents who will do anything to secure their children’s success and take their families’ social status to new heights.
2. Legal High
In a Japanese interview, Suga was asked which J-Dramas he likes. One of them was Legal High, a comedic courtroom drama that aired in 2012. It follows a veteran lawyer who refuses to lose and a new lawyer who is all about justice.
3. Slam Dunk
Suga and Jungkook both recommended Slam Dunk, a sports manga and anime.

Slam Dunk follows a hot-tempered teen whose strong personality keeps getting in the way of his dating life. He isn’t a basketball fan, but his crush is. So, what does he do? He joins the basketball team, of course!
4. Nodame Cantabile
Suga and V recommended Nodame Cantabile, the perfect anime series for music lovers. This rom-com follows a bubbly musical genius, a serious piano major, and their romance.
5. Hanzawa Naoki
In an interview for a Japanese magazine, Suga named Hanzawa Naoki as one of his favourite J-Dramas at the time. It’s about a bank employee who overcomes countless obstacles as he rises through the ranks at Tokyo Chuo Bank. Season 1 aired in 2013 and Season 2 was released in 2020.
6. Tazza: The High Rollers
In a 2018 interview with Billboard, Suga called this his all-time favorite movie.

This 2006 film, based on a manhwa of the same name, follows a group of gamblers. Shortly after its release, it became one of South Korea’s top-grossing films of all time.
