Everything We Know About “Beyond The Wardrobe”: The First HBO Max Show To Star A K-Pop Idol, Kim Woojin, As Male Lead
Kim Woojin is beginning to make his name known as an actor.
Not only is he set to become the first K-Pop idol to star as the male lead in an HBO Max series, but he will also be the first Korean citizen.
Kim Woojin is a cast member of the show Além do Guarda-Roupa (also known as Beyond the Wardrobe), a fantasy drama that follows a Brazilian teenage girl (Sharon Blanche) as she finds a teleportation portal in her closet and travels to Seoul. She encounters not just any set of singers, but the most famous K-Pop group in the fictional world of the show, ACT.
Kim Woojin will play the role of Kyung Min, the moody member of ACT. In an interview with a Brazilian news outlet, he expressed his joy at being able to re-debut in a group after going solo. He withdrew from Stray Kids in October 2019 due to personal circumstances.
As I transformed into Kyung Min, I felt excited because I could once again debut as a boy group member like before.
— Kim Woo Jin
