NCT’s Johnny Is Collecting Celebrities Like Pokémon Cards In NYC
This article has been updated as more celebrities post highlights from The 2022 Met Gala.
On April 28, NCT‘s Johnny announced via Instagram Live that he would be traveling to the U.S.

Since then, he arrived safely in New York City and documented his activities and sightseeing on Instagram.
Yoga and Broadway shows are not all that Johnny has been up to. He has also been befriending all the celebrities. His recent debut at Monday’s 2022 Met Gala (also known as Met Ball), hosted by the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, also gave lots of opportunities to socialize. Especially as the stars were out under the theme of In America: An Anthology of Fashion, focusing on gilded glamour.
The stories really reflect the evolution of American style, but they also explore the work of individual tailors, dress-makers, and designers. …We’ve been exploring untold stories and focusing on designers who have been almost written out of fashion history because they weren’t commercially successful or they had a short career span, but at the time had a big impact on American fashion.

1. Jung Ho Yeon
Korean model and Squid Game actress Jung Ho Yeon and Johnny met up at The 2022 Met Gala. Both looking fine AF, they snapped an adorable selfie!
2. Anderson .Paak
Johnny and Korean American singer-songwriter and 1/2 of Silk Sonic, Anderson .Paak, reunited at The 2022 Met Gala!

Their first meeting was chaotic, though! Anderson .Paak met NCT 127 during “Regular” promotions and was initially excited.

He started dancing on top of the table, with everyone in the room hyping him up — only to fall off the table! NCTzens hear Johnny saying, “I got you,” right after Anderson falls.

3. Kris Jenner
Kris Jenner and Johnny broke the internet during The 2022 Met Gala due to their newfound friendship.

4. Gigi Hadid
Kris and Johnny are not the only surprising friendship of the evening. Johnny also appeared friendly with American model Gigi Hadid.
The two even snapped a photo together, which he later posted to his Instagram, and honestly, the visuals are phenomenal!
5. Ansel Elgort
Johnny and American actor, singer, DJ, and certified K-Pop fan Ansel Elgort appeared to have met up during a bathroom break. The mirror selfie is totally giving bestie vibes, though.
6. Chloe Kim
Johnny and Korean American Olympic Gold medalist Chloe Kim met before The 2022 Met Gala and became fast friends.
They even became mutuals on Instagram!
