ITZY’s Lia Once Used Her Parents’ Credit Card Without Permission, But The Reason Highlights Her True Passion For Her Craft
Fans know that ITZY‘s Lia is an extremely talented singer. She went to great lengths to ensure that her voice was up to par though.

In Episode 96 of ITZY? ITZY! Lia was walking around when she noticed a vocal training academy.
She recalled that she wanted to take vocal training lessons when she was younger and hadn’t yet learned to sing.
Her parents refused. Instead of letting that stop her, she took a two-hour bus ride from Incheon to Gangnam…
…to visit the academy by herself! All without permission.
To fans, the fact that she went to such trouble to practice her singing showcases Lia’s dedication. It’s probably also why she’s such a fantastic vocalist today.
Lia even paid the tuition fee for the vocal lesson with her parents’ credit card.
Fortunately, Lia’s parents didn’t scold her. Instead, her dad realized Lia was genuinely passionate about learning how to sing. Though Lia didn’t specify the timeline of this lesson, fans might recall that Lia became a trainee at JYP Entertainment in 2017 before debuting with ITZY in 2019. The rest is history!
This outcome was lucky for MIDZY too! Without Lia’s dedication, she may have never taken the singing lesson like she wanted to. Even though she went without permission, she proved to her parents that this was what she really wanted to do!
