NCT DREAM’s Jaemin May Have Spoiled “Beatbox” Before…Except His Spoiler Was Totally Misinterpreted
NCT DREAM‘s Jaemin may have dropped a little spoiler for “Beatbox” before…except it doesn’t seem to have gone according to plan, as it was totally misinterpreted!
Now that NCT DREAM’s repackage album Beatbox has been released, fans have been able to learn the full lyrics. It seems that, while the lyrics for the title track, “Beatbox,” revolve mostly around dancing, the second verse actually refers quite a lot to snacks.
More specifically, one of Mark Lee‘s lines says, “One bite and you’re hooked, yum, yum, yum.”
And as many fans saw earlier this month when NCT DREAM went to Germany to perform at KPop.Flex, Jaemin posted an Instagram story of his and Renjun‘s cocktails, captioning it “yum yum.”
That particular story led fans to make many memes about ‘drunk Jaemin,’ particularly since he was seen looking understandably tired at Frankfurt Airport the following day.

It got to the point where Jaemin himself went online to address the misinterpretation of his Instagram story. He politely, but firmly, clarified that he hadn’t been drunk. And when some fans suggested that “normal drinks suit him better,” he made it clear in the most polite way possible that he is an adult, and that even though he may not like being drunk, he can enjoy drinking as much as anyone.

Now that “Beatbox” is out, it seems as if the misinterpretation of Jaemin’s “yum yum” caption may have actually been even more off-target than originally thought. Especially since there have been similar (possible) spoilers since then. For example, Jaemin’s most recent Instagram story (uploaded May 30) is a picture of his food with the caption “yum.”
Additionally, the official NCT DREAM Instagram account posted yet another picture of food recently with the caption “yummm 😋.”
All this has led some NCTzens to believe that these may all have been related spoilers for NCT DREAM’s “Beatbox,” which makes the initial interpretation of Jaemin getting drunk on Long Island Iced Tea even funnier: while Jaemin was trying to give spoilers, everyone was a little too focused on his drink to notice!
