The two had technically collaborated before as they performed at the 2018 MGA (MBC Plus X Genie Music Awards) on November 6, 2018, to sing Charlie Puth’s “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” which Jungkook previously covered.
Now, a legitimate collaboration might be happening!
In an interview at the Los Angeles radio station KIIS-FM-produced concert iHeartRadio Wango Tango, Puth was asked about a potential collab with BTS.
Interviewer: Fans think you have a collab with BTS. Fans are going crazy…
Charlie Puth: I heard that too!
Charlie Puth confirmed that he was aware of pre-existing rumors regarding collaboration with BTS. Yet, he surprised the interviewer by implying that the collaboration already exists and just does not have a confirmed release date.

The interviewer was shocked even more when Puth revealed that they actually do know the release date. It had just recently been decided.

So, the interviewer was curious if this was an official confirmation that a Charlie Puth x BTS collab was real. So, he attempted to find out more details, but Puth suddenly went silent.
