BTS’s J-Hope Pens A Heartfelt Letter To ARMY Following The Release Of His Solo Single “MORE”
On July 1, BTS‘s J-Hope made his comeback with the pre-release of the single “MORE” and its music video ahead of his July 15 release album Jack in the Box.
He shook ARMYs by showing them a new side to himself with an edgy aesthetic while featuring emo vibes and the old-school hip-hop genre.
Upon the release, he penned a heartfelt letter to ARMYs, sharing it via Weverse. He revealed that the new song had been in the works for a while.
I’m on my way home after finishing my schedules!!! In many aspects, I’m proud and feel good other than the song release.
After the pandemic started, the song that I planned was completed, and I was able to cooly show you all and let you hear the song. So, I think I feel so good it feels like I’m seeing the result of my efforts during that time!! This could also be my personal satisfaction too!!!.. heh— J-Hope
He has had a desire for a while to showcase this new “cooler,” darker persona to ARMYs. So, he is excited to share it with them finally.
I don’t know how you listened to it, but I think there was always an immature desire that wanted to show you even cooler things and planning for things that I could show you as BTS’s J-Hope, and individually!!!
I think today is the day that I fulfilled those desires ..!
— J-Hope
J-Hope also expressed gratitude to the fandom for their acceptance. Of course, it may not be what we’re used to, but we love him completely.
I feel thankful and perhaps even sorry to the many ARMYs around the world that accepted all of thoughts and feelings together !!
— J-Hope
Rather than only letting ARMYs know one side of himself, J-Hope wants them to know all his personas. This includes the one we know from BTS but also the “average guy” Jung Hoseok.
Overall, I think this album has been filled with those feelings of J-Hopes!!!!!!!
Starting from today, I’m planning to gradually show you those emotions of J-Hopes in various ways.
I’d be thankful if you look forward to it and have interest, as well as recognize that this is an important process where J-Hope and the human called Jung Hoseok are taking their next steps.

J-Hope also communicated that he has three personas through visuals in the “MORE” music video. The MV contained lots of symbolism.
that scene where hobi is observing himself as an outsider getting diagnosed and it pans to his x-ray and his radiograph, his very CORE also starts talking about how he is drunk on artistic recklessness…jung hoseok the creative genius you are

Lastly, he expressed one last message of love and gratitude for ARMYs, dedicated listeners of his music.
I make music as there are fans that always listen. I love you, and thank you !! 🥰
