BTS’s Jungkook Chooses 6 Artworks That Relate To His Life And Explains What Art Means To Him
In a recent collaboration with Google, BTS X Street Galleries the members of BTS each shared a location and artworks that have significant value to them. BTS maknae Jungkook‘s selected artworks truly give a glimpse into his mind and life and show exactly what BTS and ARMY mean to him.
Here are the artworks that relate to Jungkook’s life and why:
1. Clasped Hands of Robert and Elizabeth Barrett Browning (Harriet Goodhue Hosmer)
Jungkook chose this artwork because of its significance to him growing up as a member of BTS. He says that “the other members held my hand through various difficulties and challenges.”
2. The Muse of Painting (John La Farge)
In regards to this painting, Jungkook states that “the other bandmates and ARMY” are his muses, in addition to his dogs!
3. Een Schilder Die Voor Zijn Ezel Zit (Bisschop)
Translated as A Painter Seated at his Easel, Jungkook relates to this sketch because of how focused on the artist depicted is. According to Jungkook, he feels the exact same way whenever he is in front of a canvas (and on stage!).
4. Korean Drum
Jungkook is known for showing off his drumming skills. This piece is significant to Jungkook because of BTS’ status as honorary tourism ambassadors of Seoul. During one of the campaigns, Jungkook got to show off his impressive drumming!
5. Drummer (Bowl Porcelain Factory)
One thing Jungkook loves about drumming is that its enjoyment is universal no matter your age. He says that he’s “been trying to perfect his drumming skills recently” and “can’t wait to show you guys something great soon.” Keep an eye out for more Drummer Jungkook content!
6. Clouds (Jungkook of BTS)
This artwork is taken by none other than Jungkook himself! This gives a good look into how Jungkook views artwork and by extension himself.
If drawing allows me to escape to the land of imagination, photography makes me look at reality in a different way. I love taking photos of the clouds because each cloud is completely different to the next.

This photo was taken in 2019, a massive year in BTS’s career that included their first Grammy nomination, sold-out shows, swept all Daesangs at the Melon Music Awards and Mnet Asian Music Awards.
It’s nice to get a look into Jungkook’s mind!
