BTS’s J-Hope Parties With His Childhood Role Model At “Jack In The Box” Listening Party
BTS‘s J-Hope is a global superstar about to release his Jack in the Box solo album. But once upon a time, long before he joined BTS, J-Hope was an ordinary kid from Gwanju with big dreams and incredible talent.
Like many kids, J-Hope had role models he looked up to and learned from. One of those role models was Boogaloo Kin (also known as AKIN) a famous South Korean street dancer and social media star. He is a member of the dance crew, World Fame Us, that won the 2017 K.O.D World Cup dance competition.
During J-Hope’s pre-debut years as an underground dancer, he studied, trained with, and emulated some of the best street dancers around. Boogaloo Kin specializes in popping, a skill J-Hope has also mastered.
J-Hope once mentioned his role model during a “Hope On the Street” dance video.
Who knew that these two dance stars would one day party together in the HYBE building? Boogaloo Kin was one of the many celebrity guests who attended J-Hope’s listening party for Jack in the Box…

…and they had a blast together! On Instagram, Boogaloo Kin shared a clip from the party. “I’m so proud of you my lil brother,” he wrote in the caption. “and super congratulations on your new album.”
