aespa‘s concept is built around an intricate metaverse that the group brings to life in many music videos and references in most of their songs. The members each have a virtual alter-ego called “aes.”
While their “aes” maintain an animated appearance, other virtual AIs have a more human-like appearance. The Korean Tourism Organization recently named a virtual AI their new ambassador. Netizens quickly pointed out her uncanny resemblance to aespa’s labelmate, Red Velvet‘s Irene.
Although aespa has their own virtual counterparts, one member doesn’t seem to need one.
