Benny Blanco Spills On The Making Of BTS And Snoop Dogg’s “Bad Decisions” Music Video
Producer Benny Blanco continues to share behind-the-scenes stories with ARMY about the creation of his collaboration track with BTS and Snoop Dogg.
Benny Blanco has been sharing his appreciation for the members of BTS and ARMY’s support following the recent release of their collaboration track “Bad Decisions.”
He revealed he became a certified ARMY after seeing BTS’s “Blood, Sweat, and Tears” music video.
… when I saw the video for ‘Blood, Sweat, and Tears’ I immediately fell in love with BTS.. last year I went to one of their concerts… and I was lucky enough to meet them… that is where my OBSESSION began… I’ve gotten to work [with] so many amazing artists and meet so many influential people but for some reason when I was in a room with them I was so nervous… like I was a little kid again… waiting for an autograph… they made me feel young… they made me feel excited… they made me believe… we chase those highs everyday… and they have the ability to give that to so many people…

This admiration led to the epic collaboration that became “Bad Decisions.” Along with producing the catchy song, Benny Blanco also starred in the song’s music video. In the video, he lived out his ARMY dreams as a highly dedicated fan of the supergroup, eagerly preparing to attend a BTS concert.
After the music video was released, Benny Blanco actively answered fan questions and spilled some of the behind-the-scenes details about the creation of the fun music video.
There were two scenes in particular that he detailed. One of the more memorable scenes was of Benny’s outfit, which was a replication of Jimin‘s pastel purple outfit from BTS’s “Dynamite” music video.
In the music video, Benny has the carefully replicated outfit placed in a display case. He revealed that his outfit was recreated by hand because most of the clothes Jimin originally wore were discontinued. Benny shared that his friend stayed up an entire night to paint shoes to match the ones Jimin wore in the “Dynamite” music video.
My friend @cloheyyy hand made the entire outfit to match Jimin’s from the Dynamite video [because] most of the clothes were discontinued… she literally stayed up all night hand painting the shoes hours before the shoot

Another memorable moment from the music video involved the “bora cake” Benny made. As Benny was driving the cake to the concert venue, it was dramatically destroyed after he slammed on the brakes.
Benny named the moment his cake fell his favorite part of the music video while revealing the downside to filming that particular scene.
my favorite part was when the cake fell and got messy and i had to run so fast bc i was late to the show !!! #AskBenny https://t.co/Tb39OOWtzR

It turns out that Benny didn’t rent the car he was driving in the music video; it was Benny’s personal car.
The cake ends up smashed against the windshield in the video, leaving a mess all over the car’s dashboard.
He may have regretted using his vehicle, as he revealed that the car now has a rotten smell from pieces of the cake that are still caught in the car’s vents.
5. yes that’s my car in the video and yes there is still cake smeared in the vents near the windshield… but now it kinda just smells like eggs and poop pic.twitter.com/XPzjrBJNuV
