BLACKPINK has made history at MTV‘s 2022 VMAs (also known as the 2022 Video Music Awards).
YG Entertainment‘s girl group BLACKPINK has officially won for “Best Metaverse Performance.”

The group won for BLACKPINK The Virtual PUBG. They were nominated along with BTS | Minecraft – BIGHIT Music / Geffen Records, Charli XCX | Roblox – Atlantic Records, Justin Bieber – An Interactive Virtual Experience | Wave – Def Jam, Rift Tour ft. Ariana Grande | Fortnite – Republic Records, and Twenty One Pilots Concert Experience | Roblox – Fueled By Ramen / Elektra Music Group.
This is the first year that this category has been included in the award show. So, BLACKPINK has made history as the first artist to win.
Additionally, BLACKPINK is nominated for “Best Group/Group of the Year,” and Lisa has won “Best K-Pop” for her solo song “LALISA.”
The group also stunned audiences with their performance.
