Oldest Museum In The Philippines Launches BTS’s RM-Inspired “Namjooning” Exhibit
UST Museum has launched an exciting new exhibition for ARMYs.
UST Museum is The University of Santo Tomas Museum of Arts and Sciences. It is actually the oldest existing museum in the Philippines as it originated as “the Gabinete de Fisica, or observation room, of mineral, botanical and biological collections in the 17th century.”
Its latest exhibition is UST Goes Namjooning: Capturing Moments on Campus. It is inspired by none other than BTS‘s leader, RM!
The exhibit, launched to reintroduce UST history and culture, was inspired by the social media term coined by BTS leader and main rapper Kim Namjoon.

“Namjooning” is a term that originated in the summer of 2019 when the BTS members went on vacation. When ARMY asked RM what he was up to on Weverse, he replied by saying, “I’m namjooning.”
Since then, “Namjooning” has become defined. The Urban Dictionary definition is “the act of living as Kim Namjoon.” This includes “taking walks through parks, admiring nature, hanging out with crabs, and having fun with friends.”
‘Namjooning’ refers to visiting museums, communing with nature, biking, appreciating architecture and public art, reading, and any personal activity for self-care and relaxation.

So, UST Museum is using this to inspire young people to act as RM and appreciate art, visit museums, etc.
UST Goes Namjooning: Capturing Moments on Campus is an interactive exhibit. It features art as well as BTS merchandise and standees.
UST Goes Namjooning: Capturing Moments on Campus is located in the Main Building. The exhibit launched on Tuesday, September 13 and will continue until October 21. It is open to the public.
It’s phenomenal how RM’s love for art and museums has inspired others. He even recently shared about his own plays to open a public art exhibit. Read more below.
