BTS’s J-Hope Refused To Go To The Bathroom While Recording “Rush Hour”—But That’s Not All, According To Crush
South Korean R&B and hip hop singer Crush is making a comeback with the song “Rush Hour,” and it’s featuring none other than J-Hope of BTS! Prior to its release on September 22, he sat down for an interview with news site Newsen where he talked about working with the “Dynamite” rapper.
Aside from sharing how the collaboration came about, Crush was asked if there were any special episodes that occurred while recording and filming with J-Hope.
The “Don’t Forget” singer described how he witnessed J-Hope’s professionalism first hand. While recording the song, he noticed that J-Hope was working so hard, sweat was dripping down his face. He even refused to go to the bathroom until he was satisfied with his output!
J-Hope was sweating profusely and didn’t even go to the bathroom while working hard on the recording.

Throughout the recording session, J-Hope would tell him, “Hyung, I’ll do it again. I can do better. One more time.” That was when Crush realized that he “wasn’t in his current position for nothing,” earning his respect as an artist.
But the rapper’s dedication to his work isn’t the only thing that Crush was struck by. In the same interview, he shared that J-Hope personally gave him energy when he was tired from dancing during filming for the music video. He also monitored and coached the singer’s performance.
He even willingly appeared in the music video. When I was filming my dancing scenes, he gave me energy when I was physically exhausted. I also remember being very grateful to him for monitoring and coaching together.

J-Hope could have chosen to focus solely on his own scenes for the music video, but he willingly helped Crush without asking for anything in return. Furthermore, it’s clear that he loves what he does as he didn’t stop the recording for anything—even to go to the bathroom! If that’s not dedication, what is?
