Red Velvet’s Seulgi Names The Fourth Generation K-Pop Group That Caught Her Eye
Red Velvet‘s Seulgi was the most recent guest on Jonathan Thona‘s TheKstarNextDoor, where she visited to promote her debut mini-album 28 Reasons. While there, she spilled on details about her life, including the fourth-generation K-Pop group that caught her eye.
Before answering questions, Seulgi shared that she fears entertainment or variety shows. She wanted to appear on TheKstarNextDoor because she has watched Jonathan’s career and was impressed with his growth and noted how comfortable he made guests feel on the show.
Jonathan begins his interview with a K-Profile breakdown, where he asks celebrities about popular keywords associated with them. When clarifying why her fellow Red Velvet members joked they were more “interesting” because Seulgi didn’t like to go on variety shows to show her various talents, Seulgi opened up to display her unique skills.
From flexibility to impressions, Seulgi revealed her “hidden talents.” She hilariously reminded Jonathan that she was almost 30 as they were in the midst of animal impersonations.
At 28 years old international age, Seulgi is already eight years into her debut. Red Velvet debuted during K-Pop’s third generation, but they are still the second most recent girl group to debut from SM Entertainment.
While Seulgi confessed she likes to be friends with everyone when asked, she shared with Jonathan there was a fourth-generation K-Pop group who has caught her eye.
Seulgi was the most supportive senior girl group member when she answered that the group is aespa, the most recent girl group to debut under SM Entertainment. Seulgi shared that they worked together when they formed the project group GOT the Beat with fellow SM Entertainment artists BoA, Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon and Hyoyeon, Seulgi and Wendy from Red Velvet, and Winter and Karina from aespa.
Jonathan asked if she had any advice for the younger group, but Seulgi didn’t have anything that came to mind for the talented girls.
