Spire Entertainment Receives Backlash From Netizens After “Unacceptable” Statements And New Evidence Regarding The OMEGA X Member Abuse Allegations
K-Pop boy group OMEGA X recently made headlines after allegations that the group’s CEO had allegedly physically and verbally abused the members of the group.
Amidst the allegations and responses from the company Spire Entertainment, netizens have raised anger, trending “#ProtectOMEGAX.”
OMEGA X held the final stop of their concert tour, 2022 OMEGA X WORLD TOUR [CONNECT: Don’t give up].
However, a post on October 23, 1:48 am PST by an individual shared an audio recording of a person suspected of being their company (Spire Entertainment) CEO Kang Seong Hee allegedly screaming at and physically abusing the members.
Guys, I was waiting for the Uber that I called outside and I saw the company CEO hitting the members. I really didn’t know what to do since my hands were shaking so much. They were being hit right in front of me but I couldn’t do anything.

When the initial tweet was shared, netizens couldn’t hide their anger and disgust at the way the group was being treated. Various hashtags to protect the group started trending and even those who didn’t listen to the group shared their support.
For any of my non for x moots who don't know what is going on please look into the hashtag #PROTECTOMEGAX. Last night after their tour ended in LA one of their members were physically assaulted because the members had informed management he felt like he was gonna faint. The idea

After the allegations were shared, Spire Entertainment released a statement admitting that the situation took place after a team-wide dinner. The management explained that “voices were raised” while talking about the tour.
Many believed that the voice in the video was CEO Kang Seong Hee. Anger was raised by netizens after a statement was released by the CEO. Rather than accepting the allegations, she explained that it was allegations from fans and that she was usually polite to the members, but the group hadn’t been treating her well.
It’s a one-sided allegation started by an anti-fan who is hostile toward the management.
I was exhausted because I’ve been up for several nights in a row. I even had a bloody nose because I was so tired. But the members didn’t think to make me feel better. They didn’t care about me. So I felt upset and acted out of disappointment.
Usually, I’m extremely polite toward the members. I even use honorifics when I talk to them.

When the statement was released, netizens from across fandoms and even those who didn’t stan OMEGA X shared their anger. With the evidence from fans and audio clips, it seems impossible to think that the company was trying to deny the allegations, passing it off as an “anti-fan” agenda.
this statement is not it. it's giving, deflection 🚩🚩🚩
after audio + 1st hand witness reports went out they claim it's a one-sided claim by anti-fan? then expecting members to comfort the aggressor? every1 sees thru these statements + "apologies" smh#protectomegax #OMEGA_X https://t.co/YHMKLo2SdM

spire's "statement" has only made me worry even more because it's so clear that they're trying to push past this and pretend it's not happening. pretend omega x isn't fearing their staff. pretending omega x aren't being verbally & physically abused. pretending that they care.

In particular, criticism has rocketed after SBS released a video of the CEO allegedly verbally and physically assaulting member Jaehan.
When the video was released, netizens couldn’t hide their anger. If the statement from the company wasn’t bad enough, many believe that this video made it even worse.
Although the company passed it off as “rumors,” netizens pointed out that this was actual proof of the abuse the group had suffered.
The company has yet to respond to the recent video released by SBS. OMEGA X is a group that is comprised of idols from disbanded groups. For many fans, after years of hard work and setbacks, these allegations and abuse are heartbreaking for those supporting the group and netizens in general.
