LE SSERAFIM’s Kazuha Admits Her Old Practice Videos Were “Really Bad”—Here’s Why It Doesn’t Faze Her
It’s no secret LE SSERAFIM‘s Kazuha left the world of professional ballet to pursue a career in K-Pop.
However, by the time she had joined the group’s lineup, there wasn’t much time left until their debut. It was therefore inevitable that she had the shortest training period among the members, amounting to less than half a year.
In an interview with Weverse Magazine, the “ANTIFRAGILE” singer reflected on her past dance practices. She first explained that the difference between K-Pop and ballet is enormous, so she tries to not “lose it all” by always practicing. One method she relies on is taking videos of herself and reviewing them after she finishes.
I’m not familiar with the style of dance, so if I don’t keep practicing I could lose it all and wind up back at square one, so I review videos of myself continuously after practice.

She then opened up about honestly believing her old practice videos were “really bad.” But one way she consoles herself is by having the mindset that she’ll feel the same way about her current videos a few months from now. It shows how she’s driven to continuously improve herself and be better than she was the previous day!
If I look back on an old practice video now, I feel like I was really bad, but most likely I’ll feel the same way if I watch videos from now in a few months.

Finally, Kazuha relayed a professional outlook by saying that she tries to keep an emotional distance when reviewing her practices. It helps her objectively see what she can still improve on. It isn’t a walk in the park, but she reminds herself to not give up and to keep moving forward.
Anyway, you have to look at yourself from an emotional distance to really see where you can improve. Sometimes I feel tired, of course, but I keep telling myself just to keep at it and do a little bit more.
