“Street Man Fighter” Host Kang Daniel’s Label Apologizes After The Idol Thanked A Sponsor’s Competitor On The Show’s Finale
Mnet Street Man Fighter host Kang Daniel responded to allegations that he thanked the wrong sponsors during the show’s finale.
Kang Daniel label Konnect Entertainment responded to the controversy with a short statement.
It was a mistake in which he accidentally said the wrong sponsor. Due to the commotion from the final episode, I think he was momentarily confused. We apologize to the sponsors.

The statement, however, did not go over so well with some. An industry insider, in an interview with Dispatch, lamented the mistake stating the accident was unprecedented, as Kang Daniel had thanked the sponsor’s competitors.
We are not asking to be treated with respect as sponsors. But at the very least, they shouldn’t have been affected negatively. There has never been a broadcast where an MC complimented a sponsor’s competitor’s product.

Previously, on the November 8 finale of Mnet’s Street Man Fighter, which was broadcasted live, the show’s host, Kang Daniel, thanked the show’s sponsor. During Kang Daniel’s monologue, he thanked the sparkling water brand, Trevi, stating, “Trevi is great. It’s out of this world. I’m only half-kidding.” Controversy erupted, however, when it was revealed that the show’s sponsor was a competing sparkling water brand.
Meanwhile, the show came to a conclusion with the competition-favorite Just Jerk Crew being crowned the victor.
