From GFRIEND To VIVIZ: Umji Stuns Netizens With Her Jaw-Dropping Transformation

VIVIZ‘s cherished member Umji debuted with GFRIEND in 2015, joining her former group members on their rapid rise to fame.

GFRIEND was one of the first K-Pop groups to debut in 2015 and quickly captivated fans with their catchy songs, refreshing concept, and incredible vocals.

They were also known for their impressive synchronicity and heartwarming professionalism, gaining even more fans after they proved their incredible work ethic.

At the time of their debut, maknae Umji was only 16 years old, and fans have watched her grow up over the last eight years.

When Umji debuted, she had long brown hair and alternated between long sidebangs and a blunt fringe with wavy hair for the ultimate girl-next-door charm.

As the years passed and GFRIEND’s career progressed, Umji began to develop her personal style with more mature looks and different, chic hairstyles and colors.

Umji was already beautiful when she debuted, and her visuals truly blossomed as she found her signature look.

She also shared that she found a healthy daily routine, including working out at least once a day and eating healthy foods, losing around 8-9kg.

In 2021, GFRIEND’s contract with Source Music ended, and they unexpectedly disbanded at what seemed like the height of their fame.

The members later revealed that they were informed of their disbandment a month before their contract ended and took the news just as hard as fans.

After the disbandment, I felt heartbroken for a while. But I have to move on, I have to keep going down my own path. So I couldn’t stay heartbroken for too long. It did take me some time to logically understand what happened, though.

After the sudden disbandment, members Eunha, SinB, and Umji formed a new three-member group in 2022, VIVIZ, under BPM Entertainment.

VIVIZ showed a new side to the three members as they debuted with a sleek, glamorous, and trendy image.

With a new start, Umji continues to stun netizens with her gorgeous visuals. The group recently announced their next comeback with a new mini-album, VarioUS.
