IVE’s Jang Wonyoung Shuts Down Discussions About Her Wealth With Iconic Response During “Running Man”
IVE‘s Jang Wonyoung has to be one of the hottest female K-Pop stars and always cements herself as the fourth-generation “IT Girl!” Recently, Jang Wonyoung showcased that she’s incredibly quick-witted in a variety show appearance.
Of course, Jang Wonyoung is known for her dazzling visuals…
And unreal presence when she gets on stage! Yet, she is so much more than that.
IVE recently appeared on the latest episode of Running Man. As expected, it was full of truly iconic moments and interactions between the members and cast. In particular, while IVE and the cast were sat on a bus, Jang Wonyoung showcased her wittiness and personality.
When speaking about the fact that Wonyoung hadn’t graduated yet…
Kim Jong Kook joked that Seok Jin should buy her a present. Jang Wonyoung and the rest of the cast seemed excited by the idea of the young idol being treated when she eventually graduates.
Seok Jin then asked Wonyoung if there was anything she wanted in particular, to which the young idol humbly replied, “Anything would be nice.”
Fellow cast member Yoo Jae Suk then joked about how Jang Wonyoung must have everything she could want. Seok Jin then hilariously asked, “Wonyoung, aren’t you richer than me?” while the cast pointed out her brand and CF deals.
Rather than shy away from the question, Jang Wonyoung had the most iconic response as she replied, “I will give you a present.” Unsurprisingly, the cast couldn’t stop laughing at her witty comment.
Yet, it isn’t the first time Jang Wonyoung has been praised for her wittiness.
Back in early 2022, IVE traveled to Germany for a K-Pop festival. When arriving at the airport, the crowds allowed fans to interact with the member, and one international fan was lucky enough to get close enough to Jang Wonyoung and started chatting with her.

Without even hesitating, after the fan explained that her sister was a huge fan, Jang Wonyoung remarked, “How about you?” and the fan quickly replied, “I like you too, you’re really pretty,” before the idol gave a shy gesture.
While Wonyoung is always praised for her visuals, her witty personality shouldn’t be forgotten. After years in the K-Pop industry, the young idol never ceases to make people LOL with her comebacks.
