In late 2022, BTS‘s V and BLACKPINK‘s Jennie were subject to rumors about an alleged relationship stemming from leaked photos shared by an anonymous Telegram user, Gurumiharibo.

Fans debated the legitimacy of the photos shared, providing proof of both their authenticity and fakeness. YG Entertainment released a statement regarding the leaking of Jennie’s personal photos, promising to take illegal action against the “original distributor.”

We have officially requested the police to investigate the original distributor of BLACKPINK Jennie’s personal photographs. We have been monitoring the situation and submitted our complaint in September after gathering information.

YG has refrained from commenting and expressing our position in the past to minimize the damage. However, we felt a sense of responsibility that it was no longer possible to condone the mass spread of rumors, criticism, personal attacks, sexual harassment, and privacy violations that were coming with the personal photographs. Therefore, we would like to clarify that we are taking legal action to rectify the situation.

YG is taking strong legal action against the posts that damage the reputation of our artists. We would like to inform you that this case is being filed for violations of the Information and Communication Network Act, violation of illegal information and distribution, and obscene use of communication media.

We will take all possible legal action without any leniency to prevent further damage in the future. Photos that were circulated online were illegally released, regardless of the intentions behind them and without the consent of the individual involved. The act of sharing these photos can be considered a secondary offense and subject to legal punishment. We sincerely ask you to avoid recklessly sharing them.

Now it seems more evidence points toward a relationship between the two.

BTS’s V departed for France on May 15 from Incheon Airport, charming netizens with his airport fashion, while YG Entertainment confirmed earlier this month that Jennie would also be in Paris at the same time for the 76th Cannes Film Festival.

She will attend the Cannes Film Festival on May 22 through her role in the drama series, ‘The Idol.’ The show was listed in the non-competition section of the film festival.

In a video shared by a Paris-based photographer, Amar Taoualit, the two stars can allegedly be seen holding hands while walking along the streets of Paris. The pair seem to be enjoying the nighttime air as they are followed by what appears to be their managers.

Another video shows two figures dressed exactly the same getting into a parked van.

Netizens have pointed out that the two idols were sighted in the same outfits as the figures in the videos earlier in the day.

Neither YG Entertainment nor HYBE has released statements after this alleged sighting.
