5 Highly Anticipated K-Dramas Releasing In July 2023

There’s action, fantasy, thriller, and more for the summer.

With the filming of many Korean dramas still ongoing, there are many projects with release dates not set in stone. So here are five of the most anticipated Korean dramas that are confirmed to air in July 2023.

1. The Uncanny Counter 2: Counter Punch

The main cast of the first season will return to fight evil spirits once more, joined by new actors and actresses from other hit Korean dramas, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, The Glory, and Alchemy of Souls.

2. Shadow Detective 2 — July 5

Decorated detective Taek Rok was prepared to retire in the first season of Shadow Detective until he was framed for murder and blackmailed by the real murderer. He returns for a second season to unravel the full mystery of who ordered the murderer to target him.

3. Strangers — July 17

Strangers (also called Not Others) is adapted from the webtoon NamNam. After becoming a single mother in high school, a woman is now in her forties and living with the twenty-nine-year-old daughter she raised. The drama will show how much they bicker with each other but maintain a strong bond.

4. My Lovely Liar — July 24

Starring Kim So Hyun and Hwang Minhyun, the actress and actor play a perfect match in My Lovely Liar. The former plays a character who knows when someone is lying, while the latter is a murder suspect who no one believes is innocent—despite his claims.

5. Longing For You — July 26

Longing For You (also known as I’ve Been Waiting For You For A Long Time) will follow actor Na In Woo as a detective who wants revenge for his younger sibling, hunting down the evil people who took part.
