According to reports, on June 12 at around 10:30 p.m., she hit the guard rails twice while driving on Olympic Boulevard in the Songpa and Gangdong Districts in Seoul. After a witness reported her to the police, they found her asleep behind the wheel, waiting for a signal with the gear in drive mode.

The actress’s agency, DI Entertainment, released a statement admitting and apologizing for the incident. After her agency’s statement, the actress also issued a personal apology through a handwritten letter on her Instagram.

Hello, this is Jin Ye Sol.

Firstly, I want to sincerely apologize for delivering such unfortunate news. I should have taken full responsibility for my actions and made more careful judgments as a public figure, but I made a grave mistake due to a momentary lapse in judgment. I sincerely apologize to everyone who supports me. From now on, I will self-reflect. I am deeply sorry and ashamed. Once again, I bow my head in apology.
