NCT’s Taeyong Inadvertently “Proves” He Has A Twitter Account Where He Follows Fans

Is Taeyong your OOMF?

For K-Pop fans, one of their biggest fears is their favorite idols being able to see what they post online about them. The perfect example of this in practice is the Buzzfeed Thirst Tweets series several active K-Pop stars have appeared in.

Fans of NCT, also known as NCTzens, have been made aware more than once that group members watch what fans do and say online.

In September 2022, Mark and Johnny admitted to watching fan reaction videos during a Twitter Spaces session to promote NCT 127‘s 2 Baddies release, even warning not to “write something nasty.

Now, Taeyong might have given the biggest indication that he’s lurking on Twitter!

NCT’s Taeyong

The NCT leader recently released his first solo album, Shalala, featuring a title track of the same name.

As part of his album promotions, he has been appearing on various music shows including SBS‘s Inkigayo. The official account of the music program shared a link to his performance featuring an adorable gif of his ending fairy moment.

Fans worldwide left cute comments about the star, leading him to share a screenshot of the tweet on Dear. U Bubble with a message talking about the social media post.

Hahahaha The comments are very cute…Thank you.

When looking closer at the screenshot, fans couldn’t help but notice a message that appeared. Under SBS’s follower numbers, a note letting the account user know that one of the accounts they follow also follows SBS.

This message only shows up when someone uses a Twitter account, and Taeyong’s screenshot indicates that he allegedly followed what appears to be a fan (username hidden).

While Taeyong has said other things that let fans know he has a Twitter account, this latest indication shows that he is likely to lurk on the platform. Fans have reacted as expected to this information.
