Unbeknownst to many viewers, Jennie actually has a stunt double who worked on several scenes with her. Chelsea Fuji is the dancer who performed in her place as confirmed through her Instagram account.

I’m in HBO’s new show The Idol airing this fall! It was such an honor to dance with the beautiful Lily Rose-Depp and Jennie and be directed by the one and only Sam Levinson!

Her role was evident in Episode 2 of The Idol which showed Jennie on screen but Chelsea in a behind the scenes photo wearing the same hairstyle as the singer.

Following her time on the American TV series, Chelsea shared a message of gratitude in a now-deleted Instagram post.

New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles [is] a little longer this year. Thank you so much for the year 2022. What year has it been for everyone? The best part of my job is being part of a major production for an American TV series and not a pilot. I think the experience of working with a top-notch team in Hollywood has been a huge growth.

She had only good things to say about Jennie, revealing that the K-Pop idol has been working hard to finish her multitude of K-Pop related schedules while also filming The Idol.

Jennie…was super busy, with a super strict schedule from Korea, and worked hard despite her injuries. I had the opportunity to perform a double, and it was a lot of fun.
