These Before-And-After Photos Of K-Pop Idols’ Hairstyles Show Just How Critical Good Stylists Are

The difference is astounding!

For some K-Pop idols, it seems that no matter how many times they dye their hair in tons of different colors, it still somehow looks healthy, silky, and vibrant. You’d expect someone that bleached and colored their hair often would have extremely damaged hair, but more often than not, idols don’t seem to suffer from that issue as much as regular people!

However, that isn’t always the case, and in fact, K-Pop idols can deal with hair damage just as much as anyone else. They just have the benefit of usually having talented stylists that can make even the most dry and fried hair somehow look good when the idol needs to be seen in public.

Recently on an online forum, a post was made sharing some before and after photos of some K-Pop idols’ hair prior to and after seeing their stylists. It gives a more realistic look at how idols actually appear when they’ve gone through frequent hair treatments, and hopefully it can help some people feel better about their own hair issues!

One of the idols mentioned on the post is Apink‘s Bomi. Blonde hair in particular is hard to do without causing serious damage to dark hair, and it definitely seems like Bomi had that problem in her before photo.

Afterwards, though? You’d never be able to tell how dry and frizzy her hair looked before!

It doesn’t always have to be white-blonde hair to cause enough damage to make hair look frizzy, either. Red Velvet‘s Irene dealt with split ends when she just went with a lighter shade of brown.

But it wasn’t anything that some TLC from her stylist couldn’t fix!

And sometimes, even dark hair can be damaged enough by different treatments to make an idol’s hair look less healthy, as in the case with Girls’ Generation‘s Tiffany here.

But with some pretty curls and less frizz? No one would know how it looked earlier!

Fellow Girls’ Generation member Taeyeon is known to have light-colored hair often, which undoubtedly is hard on it. And if it looked this dry all the time, we don’t think she’d stick with it.

But after some much-needed treatment, it looks shiny and gorgeous once again!

IU isn’t one to often dye her hair crazy or bold colors, but it still has been changed different shades of brown and other more natural colors over the years, which can still create split ends and frizz.

But that wasn’t an issue for her stylist in this case, and she looks stunning after work was done on her hair!

It’s not just female idols that have issues with their hair, either. For example, during MONSTA X‘s early days, Minhyuk‘s white-toned hair definitely seemed to cause some damage.

And like female idols, all he needed was work from a professional to have his hair looking great again!

Here’s how netizens are reacting to the before and after photos on the forum post.

K-Pop idols are human after all, and their hair needs just as much love and care as anyone else’s to keep it looking pretty!
