The Ryujin Look-Alike Actress Addresses The Buzz About Her Uncanny Resemblance To The ITZY Member

Last year, a new Korean actress grabbed people’s attention because of her uncanny resemblance to two beautiful K-Celebrities—actress Han So Hee and ITZY‘s Ryujin.

The actress was none other than Kim Ji Eun.

Kim Ji Eun got her first major role in 2019 with OCN‘s K-Drama Hell Is Other People, starring Im Si Hwan (also known as Yim Si Hwan) and Lee Dong Wook. She played the girlfriend of Im Si Hwan’s character.

However, her career took off in 2021 when she played a field agent in the NIS named Yoo Je Yi in MBC‘s K-Drama The Veil. Shortly after, she gained more popularity for acting in SBS‘s One Dollar Lawyer, where she played a legal trainee.

In April, Kim Ji Eun became the new MC of SBS’s Inkigayo alongside Monsta X‘s Hyungwon. Netizens were blown away by her beauty and welcomed her to the show with open arms. Many couldn’t stop talking about how much she looked like ITZY’s Ryujin.

There has been talk that Kim Ji Eun looked like Ryujin for a while, and she addressed the topic. In an interview with the Inkigayo MCs on SBS’s official YouTube channel, Hyungwon asked a question regarding Kim Ji Eun’s resemblance to Ryujin.

A question to MC Ji Eun. You once admitted that you look like ITZY’s Ryujin—can we expect a two-shot of the two of you?

Kim Ji Eun said she often heard this—especially when she had short hair.

I heard that I looked like her a lot and in my previous K-Drama One Dollar Lawyer, I had short hair—and we really did look alike!

Kim Ji Eun continued that people on the streets even approached her, thinking she was Ryujin.

When I walk in the street, some people say, ‘Ryujin unnie!’ and others say, ‘You’re Ryujin unnie, right? Can I get an autograph?’ It happened maybe two times!

The actress then expressed her desire to meet the ITZY singer.
