Song Joong Ki has always been a popular actor and has received love since his marriage to Katy Louise Sanders and the birth of their son. Yet, recent comments have turned public opinion.

Ahead of the birth of his child, a Chinese interview with the actor sparked a debate online. When asked about the balance between a family and work life, Song Joong Ki’s answer about the impact it would have on him gained attention.

Sometimes, being a father, being a husband, that means losing a job in this business. Being a father and having a baby, and a marriage with a woman, in this business, sometimes, it looks like [I’m] losing my job more and more.

  • He’s so full of it. He sucks.

While his comments seemed to gain attention from Korean netizens, it seems that the criticism quickly spread to international fans. In particular, the actor’s recent activities shared online have come under scrutiny from international netizens after he was spotted interacting with K-Pop idols.

Yet, while many of the posts about the actor received warm reactions from fans praising his visuals, it was his interactions with K-Pop idols that received backlash. During the same event, Song Joong Ki was spotted with NCT‘s Yuta and GOT7‘s BamBam, who also attended.

Considering the popularity of all three stars, it wasn’t surprising that the media caught a lot of interactions between them.
