ZEROBASEONE Gets Real About The Worst Part Of Living With Almost 100 Guys On “Boys Planet”

It wasn’t easy.

Mnet‘s survival program Boys Planet pitted 93 contestants from all over the world against each other, aiming to find the nine who are most loved by the public. The result was ZEROBASEONE made up of members Kim Jiwoong, Zhang Hao, Sung Hanbin, Seok Matthew, Kim Taerae, Ricky, Kim Gyuvin, Park Gunwook and Han Yujin.

They are currently appearing on variety shows in preparation for their debut. One of them is “TheKstarNextDoor” on Diggle, a YouTube series where the members split up into two groups and answered questions in a school-themed setting.

They talked about everything ranging from their off-stage personalities to the untold stories from their variety show days. Regarding the latter, one question they were asked was, “You lived with nearly 100 boys on ‘Boys Planet.’ What was most uncomfortable?”

Sung Hanbin didn’t hold back with his answer. According to him, being messy was inevitable in a dorm full of boys.

The room was too messy to film.

Each room was occupied by four people who shared two bunk beds. This was not enough space to fit the things of every single trainee.

It turned out that the few shots of the dorm that made it on air were already cleared of clutter beforehand.

This was achieved by quickly pushing the worst of the mess out of the camera’s view.

Ricky: It was all garbage behind the door.

Gunwook: We pushed everything with our feet.

According to Hanbin, most of their things were hidden “in the closet” whenever it was time to film their off-practice scenes. Without fail, however, everything from their clothes to their electronics would pile up again and again.

It got to the point when the head cameraman “begged” them to stay tidy more often.

Hanbin: The Boys Planet cameraman begged us to clean our rooms.

Gunwook: They said it was too dirty to be on TV.
