How MONSTA X’s Minhyuk Knows When An Idol Is Lying About Their Height

He revealed that it happens quite often.

Various K-Pop idols have admitted to lying about their agebirthday, and more to satisfy their company and fit their concepts. Height isn’t an exception. MONSTA X‘s Minhyuk shared his simple way of finding out if an idol is as tall as they say they are.

When fact-checking his online profile, Minhyuk corrected his height from 179.8cm to 178.9cm. The mixup in height reminded him of something he wanted to share.

His height put him in a unique situation. Minhyuk said, “I’m a killer for 180cm idols,” and explained why.

Because Minhyuk is so close to being 180cm tall, he can immediately tell if another idol is actually that height in person—or much shorter than everyone thinks. He admitted, “They call themselves 180cm, but they’re shorter than me.

And because MONSTA X has a few members over 180cm, Minhyuk could even tell if an idol is taller.

While others might not be able to tell, Minhyuk quickly catches on to the idols who are exaggerating their heights.
