K-Pop Fans Get Vigilant Amidst The Alleged Rebranding Of OMEGA X’s Former Agency Spire Entertainment
In 2022, one of the most disgraceful controversies that shrouded the world of K-Pop was the mistreatment of OMEGA X at the hands of their agency Spire Entertainment. Specifically, it was the company’s CEO Kang Seong Hee, who faced huge public backlash after she was caught physically and verbally abusing the group’s members.
SBS News shared a clip of OMEGA X's Jaehan who was seen having a panic attack and the CEO yelled at him: “Stand up. Stop being a K-pop idol if you're always sick like this.”
DANG! These boys deserve better protection from this kind of CEO!pic.twitter.com/qkrYpzp6z0

As the controversy erupted, all the past mistreatment and abuse of CEO Kang came to the public eye, and OMEGA X eventually filed for contract termination with the label. After winning the lawsuit, the group ensured that they would keep promoting together, and according to reports, they have already signed with a new agency.
After the catastrophic exposé of Spire Entertainment’s shady business, it became increasingly obvious that no entertainment activity managed by this company would ever get the public’s approval. While most K-Pop fans only paid attention to the new developments around OMEGA X, it looks like some have been watching out for Spire Entertainment’s next move.
K-Pop fans have now discovered that the company might be trying to make a return to the entertainment industry after undergoing some rebranding. In particular, the K-Pop community has started to warn each other against supporting a new company called From Entertainment.
The company was noticed posting job listings on a popular Korean job searching site and categorized itself as an entertainment agency. Under the corporate information, the company shows Hwang Seong Woo listed as the CEO. During the OMEGA X debacle, Hwang Seong Woo was revealed to be the chairman of Spire Entertainment and the husband of CEO Kang.
One particular tweet cautioning fans against Spire Entertainment’s alleged comeback has gained immediate traction on social media, where other fans have gathered to support the idea of a boycott against any of From Entertainment’s future activities. While they showed sympathy for the trainees that already might be under this new label, people feel that if the company is being run by the same people who were behind Spire, the support for trainees will create opportunities for more abuse, just like it did with OMEGA X.
The audacity of that creepy ass woman she didn't just abuse her idols and trainees she sexually harassed them. How is this even allowed?? She shouldn't be allowed near children https://t.co/MZ4rLD29CB
