What LE SSERAFIM’s Yunjin Remembers Most About Her Filipino Childhood Best Friend
LE SSERAFIM‘s Yunjin recently reminisced on her fondest memories with her childhood best friend. She grew up in the United States, so it may not come as a surprise to learn that her friend is Filipino!
The “Unforgiven” singer talked all about it in a casual live broadcast. The topic was brought up after a fan asked her to visit the Philippines. The fan excitedly said, “Come to the Philippines Yunjin!”
Yunjin agreed and went on to share that her childhood best friend is Filipino, and she distinctly remembers how that friend would bring ube mamon with her.
somebody commented "come to the philippines yunjin" and yunjin said she really wants to come because she has a childhood bestfriend who is filipino and that friend of hers would always bring ube-flavored mamon (bread)

Ube, otherwise known as purple yam, is a vibrant root vegetable commonly used in Filipino desserts, while mamon is a type of sponge cake. It’s clear that her friend has good taste!
That’s not all—the bestie would also teach Yunjin Tagalog from time to time. But unfortunately for those who wanted to hear a sample, the K-Pop idol sadly can’t remember how to speak it.
