They’re mothering.

ZEROBASEONE just debuted, but they’re already aces at variety shows!

The nine members were all part of Mnet‘s survival program Boys Planet. Though most only met here, they formed close friendships that make it seem as if they’ve known each other for years.

This was evident in the latest episode of “ZB1_Folder.” The key moment came when they were challenged to make as many members as possible laugh with an impression. Zhang Hao zeroed in on Sung Hanbin and readily volunteered. The others, such as Tae Rae, instinctively seemed to know what he was going to do.

Hanbin also caught on quickly and joked, “I think I need to pray.”

Without fail, Zhang Hao referenced Hanbin’s viral pre-debut dance cover of RuPaul‘s “Call Me Mother.”

He got up from his seat and joked twice, “Let’s have a word outside!”

Afterwards, Hanbin gave a performance review, saying that while Zhang Hao “wasn’t bad,” his cover was still not completely satisfactory.

Hao’s performance wasn’t bad but you needed to copy that some more.

Zhang Hao, in response, said that he’ll do better in his next try.

I’m wistful. I’ll copy his actions in detail later.

Fans of ZEROBASEONE found the entire interaction iconic. They took to Twitter to share a laugh over the fact that the Chinese member dared to bring up the leader’s “dark past” so blatantly.

This isn’t the first time Hanbin’s “Mother” dance move was brought up by his members. Tae Rae, Ricky, and Zhang Hao have been captured in public copying the hand-on-hip choreography.
