The One Thing K-Pop Fans Should Never Do At A Fan Sign Event — According To Netizens
In an online community, netizens discussed the worst thing fans could do to K-Pop singers at a fan sign event.
On July 13, a post titled “The top worst thing fans can do at a fan sign event” gained attention in a Korean online community. In the post were screenshots of former MOMOLAND‘s Jooe talking about being ignored at a group fan sign event.
In the 2017 video from where there this screenshot is from, Jooe talked about her disappointing experience at a fan signing event held at COEX.
There are people who left without saying a word to me. Of course, I think it could’ve been because they were nervous.

Then in a joking manner, she said that she’s going to go home and cry.

In addition, the post had a gif of PRISTIN member Kyla being ignored at a fan sign event. While Kyla stood in the middle for an individual picture time, all the fans in the front had their cameras pointed at another PRISTIN member, presumably on the right side of the stage.
After doing a few poses, she waved and walked away.
The original poster then wrote how discriminating between members of the same K-Pop group is the worst thing a fan can do at a fan sign event.
I understand they came to see their biases, but this kind of behavior hurts the artist and ruins the image of their fandom.

Netizens empathized for Kyla and this moment, and they expressed how ignoring other members is an act
- “How ignorant”
- “Wow, that’s so rude”
- “Huh? I really don’t understand them”
- “They went all the way there so they can at least say hello and shake their hand. They pass by members that aren’t their favorite? Wow… It’s not like they have to shake hands with akb, so how could they get tired? Lol”
- “If they aren’t curious about the singer, they can at least just give them a word of encouragement; it’s not hard to do, geez”
- “There’s something called basic manners”
- “How long is Kyla going to be tortured with that gif”
- “I feel sad and awkward looking at the last gif even though I’m not the one in front of the cameras… I wonder how you’d feel if you were standing in front of the cameras…”
- “They can at least have small talk, like ‘The weather is hot today,’ ‘I’ve been watching your activities,’ ‘You’re so pretty’ lolol You don’t say anything and pass by? Then you’re just a jack*ass”
- “They don’t have manners for human beings, f*ck”
- “The last gif makes me sad”
- “Members discrimination aside, once at a fan sign, I said a few words to my least favorite member but was so nervous and said nothing to my favorite member. I just said hi then left ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ”
- “Those kids need to be blacklisted”
- “The last gif is probably a trauma for her…”
- “If you’re going to go as a fan of a group, don’t you have to have common etiquette? Is it that difficult to not show that you don’t like them? It’s not right to hurt ‘bcd’ just because only see ‘a’ when they debuted as a group… If they weren’t a group, you wouldn’t be able to see your ‘a’ anyway”
No matter how much one favors a specific idol over another, it is crucial to have basic manners and treat all the members with respect!
