NewJeans Gain Attention Online For Their “Healthy” Promotion Schedule During Their Recent Comeback

NewJeans has become a hot topic online after attention was brought to their “healthy” comeback schedule.

Since debuting, the members have quickly become one of the hottest acts in K-Pop. Their songs are catchy, and even their latest songs have stormed rapidly to the top of the charts, and the dances are being done by fans worldwide.

Yet, although the members always gain attention for their music, their comeback schedule has become a hot topic online. While it is common for netizens to share their anger about idols being overworked, it seems like the same can’t be said for NewJeans.

One of the first examples of the group’s healthy schedules came from a message sent by Minji. When speaking with fans, she asked them to guess how long she had slept, and she seemed very excited as she answered, “15 hours…?!”

On a NewJeans forum, a fan managed to share a schedule assumed to be NewJeans, and while it seemed busy, it was a lot calmer than many idol groups. Along with their promotions, the members seemingly had more time not to do as much as they weren’t given as many schedules as some groups.

Along with the members’ treatment, attention was also shone on ADOR‘s treatment of the fans. The fans were gifted so many presents along with a ₩30,000 KRW (about $23.60 USD) voucher for a nearby restaurant.

When the links to the various posts were shared on Reddit, it wasn’t surprising that the thread received a lot of attention from international fans.

In the comments, while many compared it to other groups, most were happy that the members were being treated well. In an industry where there is often mistreatment or overworking, it was refreshing to see the attitude of ADOR. In particular, as the members are so young, it was refreshing that they were being allowed time to rest.

While it seems almost natural that idols have a good work/life balance, even during comebacks, it is so rare within K-Pop. As the members of NewJeans are so young, one of the concerns was with the group being overworked, but it seems like ADOR is ensuring the members stay physically and mentally healthy.
